The Players of Dieudoné
As a co-founder of Hideout Theatre Company, for our first production, The Players of Dieudoné, I worked as the in-house Designer.
The weeklong run at the Lion & Unicorn Theatre in Camden June 2022, was met with outstanding reviews and London Pub Theatre Award nominations.

Design Process
Intensive rehearsals with my co-actors on the story and characters made for a highly collaborative and detailed approach to designing the costumes, set, and props.
I started by sketching a series of costumes using a hodgepodge of shapes, materials and garments from Medieval to modern-day fashion to create a familiar yet different world for our play.
From there, I had meetings with each actor to discuss which design they thought would fit their character best and any additions they'd like to see to their costumes.
As an actor I know the importance costumes play in one's performance, so wanted to work closely with the actors. Collaborating on what their dreams were for their characters clothes and adding fun personalizations made the process engaging and rounded with highly detailed results.
